Each ceremony is a 1 to 3-hour long experience (dependent on number of participants and other factors) which focuses on turning towards one's own mortality. Participants are faced with their own memorial, participate in a writing exercise, and then are led through a death visualization. It is a truly transformative journey, bringing a new outlook on life as a whole
-
Nature walks are typically silent walking meditations, similar to forest bathing. Along each walk, we will take notice of all things that are dying and their various stages of death. We will then journal about what we felt while observing impermanence in the forest.
-
“Remember that you will die”
Memento Mori Workshops help us to remember that death is inevitable. Historically, these works of art typically use skulls or other macabre symbols to emphasize death, instead, we will be using our own faces. We will spend time discussing our thoughts on death and then each participant will work with whatever medium they choose. Mirrors will be provided.
-
We will turn to our plant guides and engage in community while crafting tinctures, tea blends, and more. Each plant provided will have properties that support us in grief and transformation.
